10 Things Project:: Sewing for the next 30 days

So I’m starting a new 10 things project and I’m so excited!

I’m notorious for starting projects and not finishing so I think this would be a great opportunity for me to make a list of 10 things that I’m going to work on in the next 30 days and have everyone follow and hold me accountable for completing them.

Since I’ve always wanted to learn to sew– well I know the basics- but I’ve always wanted to sew things outside of curtains and pillowcases– I’ve decided to start my 10 Things project with 10 things that I’m sewing in the next 30 days!

All of these sewing projects have been on my to list for some time now and I can’t wait to get started with my first project.

My little fingers are going to pretty busy for the next 30 days– here’s what I’m going to be working on!

DIY Hair Bows via Something to Smile About

DIY Pocket Pencil Skirt via Mimi G. Style

Pillows via Ann Kelle

Peter Pan Collars via Au Pays Des Cactus

Skirt Dress via Delia Creates

Easy Zipper Pouch via Design Mom

Cotton and Leather Clutch via A Beautiful Mess

Iron Board Cover via Sweet Verbena

Boxy in the Front, Ruffle in the back shirt via Cotton + Curls

DIY Leggings via Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom

The Julia Top via Shwin & Shwin

Everything looks so cute and hopefully I can finish all my sewing projects in the next 30 days!

Follow along with my progress over on PM’s Facebook page-- I’m going to share all the mishaps and frustration along the way!

Oh my! I love that you’re going to embark upon this project, and I cannot wait to see the final results, as I cannot sew to save my life (true story!), but I aspire to be able to do it someday and make cool things like you listed above!

I want to learn how to sew too! The little bows should be easy to get out he way, but the other projects will take some time. Good luck, and I would love to the finished projects, especially the pillow cases. Good luck!

  7. If I learned to sew, I’d love fashion a lot more. This would definitely help with tailoring that I always need and the design of shirts that I want.
